The Similan and Surin Islands are among the most beautiful diving areas in Thailand and rank among the most spectacular national parks in the Andaman Sea. Crystal-clear water, impressive granite formations and colorful coral reefs make this region one of the most popular destinations for dive safaris in Southeast Asia.
The island group consists of several small, densely forested islands surrounded by white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Underwater, divers encounter massive granite boulders, caves, swim-throughs and diverse reefs with an impressive variety of marine life.
The waters around the Similan and Surin Islands are known for their excellent visibility and large schools of fish. In addition to colorful reef fish, divers frequently encounter barracudas, mackerels, tuna and reef sharks. With a bit of luck, sightings of manta rays or whale sharks are also possible.
