No question about it! Diving in the Maldives is probably still one of the most beautiful experiences you can have as a diver - because not only does the underwater world offer an incredible variety of beautiful reefs and sea creatures, but the rugged island world above water will also take your breath away on your first visit to the Maldives.
The most attractive way to spend a diving holiday in the Maldives is certainly a Liveaboard Trip, as the numerous atolls offer a diverse backdrop. The sea, with all shades of blue inviting you to dive, is always a wonderful sight.
During the “Best of North” tour, where AMBA has been a pioneer for almost 17 years, the ship starts in Male and heads north. On the way, it visits the northern coral atolls of Lhaviyani, Baa, and Raa, as well as the stunning Hanifaru Bay. Here, we have the chance to snorkel with hundreds of manta rays or swim with whale sharks. The ship starts and ends the tour in Male, making it convenient for guests, as no domestic flight is needed.
For many years, the far north has been AMBA’s home. We rarely encounter other dive boats there, and divers can enjoy a nearly untouched area with incredibly beautiful corals and a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Trips to the north are limited on purpose, offering a special and very personalized diving experience.

About the MV Amba
About the MV Amba
The ship is 34 meters long and 10 meters wide. With a width of 10 meters, the ship is a safe and calm ship. There are 4 floors in total, with the ship being built wider than taller for safety reasons. Since the crew is all very experienced, we never take any risks. Neither while driving nor under water. Even if the ship is very solidly built and is a very safe ship, it can happen that the Ari Atoll and the Vavuu Atoll cannot be approached, especially in the rainy season. (Even if other ships do sail)
