Stunning walls and hard corals. Lose count of the number of turtles in a single dive. Look out for reef sharks, schooling fish, sea snakes, passing eagle rays, sting rays, abundant critters and macro life, and resident dolphins and pilot whale pods alongside the boat.
Bangka
Bangka dive sites are a sensory overload where the pristine reefs are teeming with life. Pelagics and critters, Bangka has it all!
Unique species include dugons, dolphins and pilot whales, several species of pygmy seahorse, harlequin and tiger shrimps, blue ring, mimic, reef and wonderpus octopus, ghost pipefish, Ambon scorpionfish, frogfish, turtels, reef sharks, eagle rays, tuna, great barracuda, schooling fish including snappers, fusiliers, cardinals and mackerel.
Day 1 | Arrival Day The staff will welcome and escort you to the resort. The car journey time is between 45 minutes to 1 hour. Upon arrival at Murex Manado you’ll be greeted with a welcome drink & snack. You will be shown your room for a quick refresh before a welcome briefing. Dinner is served at 7 PM.
Day 2 | First Day of Diving Coffee is available starting from 6:30 AM and breakfast is served from 7 AM. To give everyone plenty of time to get ready, the boat departs at 8.30 AM for 2 dives at Bunaken National Park. Enjoy great walls and the resident sea turtles. Light refreshments are served on the boat in between dives and we return to the Resort for lunch. Optional afternoon, night and blackwater dives/snorkelling sessions are available.
Day 3-7 | Diving Days
Boats depart at 8:15 AM and will return to Bunaken for 2 more morning dives. Lunch is served at the resort. The afternoon is ‘free time’ so you can chose to relax at the pool, take a city tour of Manado, or opt for one of other tours and activities.
Optional afternoon, night and blackwater dives/snorkelling sessions are available.
Day 8 | Manado to Bangka This morning you’ll make your boat transfer from Murex Manado to Murex Bangka Resort. During the boat transfer we’ll make
2 dives along the way. The dive sites are between both locations and are not often accessed by other resorts.
Day 9-12 | Diving at Bangka Boats depart at 8.15 AM and we’ll make two reef dives around Bangka Island. Lunch is served at the resort. You can take the popular guided trek to the local village of Lihunu which showcases the local way of life and cultural aspects of North Sulawesi. Or you may prefer kayaking through the mangroves which is extremely peaceful. The mangroves create a natural sound barrier to the outside world. A chance to be amid nature while on the water with unique opportunities for spotting tropical birds. (The Lihunu tour is in addition to your package however kayaking is included)
Day 13 | Final Day Depending on your flight times you can take 2 morning dives or simply relax in a hammock on the white sand beach.
Day 14 | Farewell You may want to complete your stay with a relaxing full body massage before you pack to go home. According to your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport
