Romblon Island is a true gem in the Philippines, a haven for underwater photographers and marine life enthusiasts alike. Surrounded by the Verde Island Passage, dubbed the “center of the center of marine biodiversity in the world,” Romblon Island boasts an unparalleled variety of marine species, making it a photographer’s dream destination.
Romblon Island’s exceptional biodiversity stems from a confluence of factors. The Verde Island Passage, nestled within the Coral Triangle, a global hotspot of marine biodiversity, provides a thriving ecosystem for marine life. The passage’s diverse seascapes, encompassing coral reefs, seagrass meadows, and mangrove forests, offer a myriad of habitats for a breathtaking array of marine species.
The island’s diverse dive sites offer a range of underwater experiences, from shallow coral reef dives to blackwater dives in the open waters of the Romblon Pass.
